being demolished: P&O Tower

The P&O Tower on Leadenhall Street is being demolished for Richard Rogers' new tower.

Only 4 buildings in London have been made in such a way - the floors are hung from a beam at the roof level which is supported by the core.

This invisible, beautiful structure has been neighbours with another Rogers building that wears its services on its sleeves for years:
